How can lighting impact learning? Our Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake CSD team collaborated with Allison Thayer of the Light and Health Research Center – Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine to explore this question specifically in the design of special education classrooms. LHRC designed new lighting systems in two SPED classrooms and completed a pilot study to determine the impact. The project was only possible with the help of school administrators, teachers, and students, as well as @axislighting, @sylvania, @creelightingofficial, and @lutronelectronics.
