Mosaic Announces Leadership Transition

It is with mixed emotions that we share some big changes coming in the next few months at Mosaic Associates Architects.

Longtime principal John Jojo, who has worked with the firm for 28 years, will retire at the end of the 2024. A knowledgeable resource to our entire team, John oversaw nearly $200 million in construction projects for Shenendehowa Central Schools alone. His current clients include Troy City School District, Voorheesville Central School District Greenwich Central School District, and Schoharie Central School District. John developed his deep understanding of how buildings are put together as a kid spending time on job sites with his dad, who was a general contractor.

Also, in keeping with our 150-year tradition of successful ownership evolution, we’re also excited to announce the promotion of architect Matthew Gaspary to principal, effective in January of 2025. Matt joined the firm 23 years ago, during his last year as a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He currently manages projects for the Saratoga Springs City School District and the Glens Fall City School District. An approachable leader and mentor to all, Matt leads the firm’s construction document quality efforts. Matt was a key member of the team that designed the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Building at Hudson Valley Community College, which opened in 2019.
