With more than 20 years experience coordinating and managing projects, Kersten Lorcher is an educational architect specializing in the design and construction of PreK-12 to university facilities. A registered New York architect, Lorcher holds a NYSERDA Certificate in High Performance School Design and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Bachelor of Architecture including a scholarship year at Eitgenössische Technische Hochschule, Zurich, Switzerland, and is a graduate of the Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Institute.
A past member of the Honest Weight Food Coop Board of Directors, Lorcher serves on the Development Committee for Capital District Community Gardens and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. He has been a presenter for the Troy High School Architecture & Engineering club and Troy Schools Career Day, and has donated gallons to the Red Cross.
