Mosaic Associates Architects has promoted associate partner Theresa Moroukian to the position of full principal with the firm. A 27-year employee of Mosaic, Moroukian has extensive experience managing all financial and human resource matters for the multi-million-dollar firm with more than 37 employees.
During her time with Mosaic, Moroukian has been instrumental in creating and implementing innovative staff development, human resources and team building policies and procedures.
Moroukian’s promotion to principal is notable because it is very unusual for a non-licensed team member of an architectural firm to be named principal. It recognizes her leadership in creating the firm’s culture and improving the performance of the staff.
“Theresa has been an integral part of Mosaic’s leadership team for many years now, leading the way, with a collaborative style, in improving our human resources practices and policies, our financial management protocols and our organizational development,” said Managing Principal Mike Fanning. “This well-deserved promotion recognizes her commitment to the firm, her talent in operations and her importance to the continued success of Mosaic Associates Architects.”
Early in her career, Moroukian held positions at Barclay Home Products and Clemente Latham Concrete Corp.
She is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in accounting and business management. She is a member of the 2012 class of The Leadership Institute of the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce and a past board member of the chamber. Moroukian remains active in the chamber, serving on the planning committee for its Annual Golf Classic. She is also a member of the Society of Design Administrators and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
